My student who is from the small town of Rongxian asked me to come teach an English lesson to students from her old high school. We taught outside in the town square. I was prepared to teach them a basic song and do an easy activity that I had done with the elementary school students in Zigong, but these students were much further behind the younger students from Zigong. We practiced saying “Hello, how are you?” instead.
