At the end of the street there is a driving school where many students take classes on the weekends. Last year this place was a clothing factory. Though very few people own cars, having a driver’s license can help students get a better job in the future. From what I have heard the tests are challenging and it is very common to fail the test multiple times. Here is an interesting NPR article about drivers licenses and taking tests in China.
