Zigong is called the “Lantern Town of the South Kingdom” and the lantern festival is awesome. It is a fantastic spectacle that features thousands of lanterns made of silk, paper, glass bottles, and bamboo. This year’s themes were monkeys, around the world, and storybook characters.
