I spent the next two weeks at a hotel in Chengdu for the Peace Corps’ In Service Training that every volunteer in China has to attend. We had sessions on things like grant writing, Chinese calligraphy, managing your expectations, and gender roles in China and we spent some time in Chinese and TEFL classes. We also had some interesting guest speakers come to visit from local NGOs and different departments at the consulate. My days were really busy and unfortunately I didn’t have much time to take photos during these two weeks. But I did get this one of our Peace Corps Country Director, Mikel, talking to all of the volunteers.
