The man on the right and his wife own the only baozi restaurant in town. The wife makes the popular stuffed buns in the kitchen in the back and sometimes joins her husband out in front to sell them during the breakfast or dinner rush (not today though). They think it’s hilarious that I’m a vegetarian and they like to shout and laugh together about vegetable baozi when I walk up to buy some. Whenever a friend comes to visit and we go to their store, I always announce that “This is my friend and she eats meat!”
