This was one of the most peaceful places I’ve been to in China. My student, Song Yuan Yuan, and I went to a new lake resort area that was being built outside of Mianyang. The lake was actually a result of a huge dam and restaurants and shops were being built around it. For the time being though, while everything was still under construction, it was lovely.
