I hosted the Peace Corps International Write On Competition at my school and about 60 students participated by writing a creative story based off a question prompt. This year’s prompt was: “You have the ability to create a brand new world. What kind of world would you create?” The story below was written by one of my oddball students, Charlotte. Her story wasn’t selected by the official competition judges, but I chose it as one of the winners for our university. I felt like almost every other students’ story had the exact same idealistic, everyone is happy plot but Charlotte’s story had talking fruit!
