On some days there are piles of burning trash everywhere around my neighborhood. This one is at least in a somewhat contained area, but they are usually just randomly placed on the side of the paths. It makes the air really smoky and it’s hard to breathe when you walk near a pile. This is really unhealthy and it’s terrible for the environment (perhaps it’s why the sky is grey here!). Outdoor residential trash burning is banned in California and many other states but I didn’t even realize until I looked it up that this does actually happen in many places in America.
